After reading the first unit \"Teachers and Learners,\" I learned a lot about the roles of the teacher and why it is important for educators to maintain a positive and caring environment where learners will feel comfortable,eager and motivated to learn a foreign language. It is true that a good teacher will make learning fun and interesting so that the learners can have enough confidence to participate and explore another language. Without a doubt, a good teacher must establish relationships with their students so that they can be able to express any concerns about their learning or any confusion they may have about the lessons. I agree with the author that, \"a great teacher is a teacher that really cares about his/her teaching but cares more about the learning of the students.\"
