I learned how structuring a language lesson is important to maintaining the student's motivation and how to tailor it to the student's levels. For example, keeping in mind the level of the students English and structuring the lesson around that level ensures the lesson is appropriate for the students. Using the ESA structures helps students not only remember the English point and draw on past experiences to understand it but also helps them to practice the language and understand it. This unit helped me to see how to trim the unnecessary things out of my lesson and maintain the important learning material including grammar, vocabulary, and functions.
