During this unit I learned how to teach a new language to students. It is not only important to create and manage a learning environment in the classroom, but to know exactly what constitutes successful learning techniques. This includes engaging the students with new vocabulary by using pictures and discussion. Study the words by exercises that practice spelling and pronunciation as well as using it in a sentence. Finally, activating the students to use the vocabulary on their own through role play or group discussion. The techniques are similar when teaching language grammatical structures, but focusing the activities on both spoken and written form.
