In this unit, I learned about parts of speech and the intricacies of grammar such as: nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs,prepositions,articles, conjunctions, and gerunds. As an native english speaker, It was nice to get a refresher course on the rules I practice everyday without even knowing. I had not realized how difficult it is to name the important players that rule a simple sentence. It is true that speaking a language does not mean you know how to teach the language. I'm looking forward to learning more about teaching English. I am also going to read up more about grammar because this course has made me realize how much I have forgotten.
