I have learned the great qualities of being a good teacher. It has to be a perfect balance. You cannot be a strict manager all the time because you will make students feel embarrassed or scared to answer or ask questions. You have to assess each individual student and see where they stand in the class and be very kind and patient with them. It is all about the approach. Classes with different age groups have different styles of learning so you must know the age group and the student language skills before getting started. Younger learners may need to be more interactive to learn. Older learners may expect a more formal style of class with less games. etc.
