This unit focused on trouble shooting classroom problems, including those associated with first lessons, classroom size, and students who revert to using their native language. Especially helpful was the section on how to manage a class whereby the students are operating at different levels, even when students are pre-tested and all start at the same level. Students can operate at different learning speeds so a natural \"gap\" can appear. The recommendations on how to handle such a situation, primarily to supplement the strong learners with new material or use the same material for all students but give those learning more rapidly with additional tasks.
