There are five future tenses, as well as 2 present tenses which also have future tense usages. The simple future tense uses will/will not (won't) and is used to express future facts and certainties, some predictions, immediate decisions, promises and speculations. The future continuous tense uses will plus be plus the ing form of the action verb. Usages include: to say that an action will be in progress at a certain time in the future, to guess what we think is happening now, to ask about other people's plans, and for future decided events. The future perfect is formed with will plus have plus the past participle, and it is used to say that an action will have been completed by some particular time in the future. The future perfect continuous is formed with will plus have plus been plus the ing form of the action verb. It is used to express how long some action will have continued by some particular time. The future form going to plus action verb is used to express plans, prediction, and intentions. The present simple is used to indicate the future for schedules, changes in situation, and to suggest an impersonal tone. The present continuous can also be used to indicate future time when expressing definite arrangements and plans without a time frame.
