Unit 3 Theories, Methods and Techniques show the different approaches cab be use by the teachers to be more effective in class during teaching. It is important to know different approaches so that they can be more versatile in class. One of the most effective methodologies for teachers in the classroom is ESA (or engage, study and activate). This methodology is simple yet very helpful for teachers specially the new ones specially for me because it is easy to understand, very applicable and it gives opportunities for the students to engage more in learning the language. There are few techniques or activities that can be done during engage phase but I can love the idea of having a small games in the class so that the students can interact freely with each other. In study phase I can see that it is a bit challenging yet still fun specially with the use of puzzles in learning. And in active phase this may able to help the students to really apply what they learn and I can see teachers must help their students to be confident in speaking the language specially in front of people. Giving feedback is necessary to help the students to correct their mistake however it should not intimidate and must be done accordingly. It may be self correction, student-student correction or teacher-student correction.
