This unit provides information about the processes that will undergo in a typical classroom setup as we teach our students the English language. Based on what I have learned, during our first meeting to our students providing a level test is needed in order for us to determine their English level and to know which level descriptors they are in. However, providing a level test doesn't guarantee the whole capability of our learners since it doesn't tests the other skills such as listening and speaking. Meanwhile, once we are done with level testing, need analysis should be also given in which it will help us to have an overview or idea on what our student's know based on their past learning experiences. Thus, we are able to know our students' interest well regarding on learning the English language. However, as we go along into our lesson flow, limiting factors are also present such as our employer, time, resources, cultural differences of our students, and the different motivational factors to be considered since each of our learners are considered unique individuals. Therefore, varied teaching practices and differentiation should be applied to sustain our students' individuality. Moreover, this unit also provides information about syllabus making. And as educators syllabus is really an important part of teaching since it encompasses of the different things and topics that we want our students to learn as they finish the whole course.Hence, it also tackles the different forms of assessment that we can apply to our students based on what we want to determine. Some of the types of test mentioned are diagnostic, placement, aptitude, achievement, proficiency, and progress. Each types of test has a specific role to measure. However, I still believe that tests are given to provide us feedback but not totally measuring the individuality of our students and what they really know. Furthermore, course evaluation is the most important thing that we must apply at the end of every course since evaluation will help us to determine the particular processes that are found to be weak in our given course. Thus, it will also help us to have feedback if our aims were achieved or need certain adjustments. And lastly, it evaluates the whole process of the implemented program based on our syllabus which will also help us educators to determine the success rate of teaching to our students.
