The first unit teach us the importance of teacher-student relationships.It is highly important for me as a teacher to be able to notice and accept each students individuality. Both level of the English language, their cultural background and their emotional state is something the teacher should take in consideration to be able to teach each student as good as possible. When I correct the students I will notice how they handle the correction and I will adjust myself according to their emotional state. The students should experience the correction as helpful. A good teacher should be kind and patient, able to motivate learners, able to correct students without offending them, be able to involve all students equally, know students weaknesses and try to give them help and indiviually attention when necessary. The teacher should also love to teach. The roles of a teacher is many and all of them is important to be a good teacher. Some of these are being an organizer,assessor, tutor, model,participant and observer. The acivity and what we want the students to achieve will determine which role the teacher employ. The teacher should be able to swich between the different roles as fits best for the current situation. A good learner shows a willigness to listen to and desire to experiment with the language. They have a desire to learn and accept error correction. They also have an ability to think about their own learning prosess and methods. The students age will also determine how I will teach them.Adults are often motivated for the task for personal reasons like they want to live in an English speaking country or because of future career prospects.Teenagers are often notnas motivated as adults. The youngest children is often impatient and they usually do not master their native language correctly but they usually love fun and games while they learn. The children aged 8-12 years old are usually more receptive to the new sounds, words and grammar of a foreign language. The students may be of different language levels which we can divide into five levels; beginners, elementary, low/pre intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced. These range from zero knowledge as a beginner to the advanced students who have very good knowledge of the English language and will be studying more subtile language items. To be a good teacher for her/his students is a complex and important issue that I as a teacher will stribe to accomplish to be able to motivate and teach each student as good as possible.
