This unit covered the practical aspects of teaching English to special groups of learners, including children and adult business English learners. The different needs of these learners call for different teaching approaches, and after completing this unit I feel better prepared to teach special groups. The needs analysis for business English learners was particularly useful.This lesson helped me to realize that using the text book solely can be damaging to the students learning process and chance of success. By using in class activities and explaining things to the students in a different manner then the text book might do so but still using the correct information will help the students to stay interested and have a better learning experience.
