This unit provided useful information for new teachers. Also, it was a good guide on how to use the class equipment better and more effectively. I found very good teaching/activity ideas that I can employ in my teaching. Meanwhile, very good suggestions were provided on using the teaching aids more efficiently.This unit was useful to help categorize the types of skills associated with a new language and to understand the receptive skills in particular. My major take-away was that, as much as possible, we should get students to exercise all four types of skills in every class- reading, writing, listening and speaking.
