This unit was a basic introduction into the characteristics of what makes up a \"good\" teacher and a \"good\" student. The key take aways, on a personal level, is that every student is unique in the way they learn and their reasons for learning the english language. To be an effective teacher it is important to be attentive to these qualities and desires in order to help motivate the student. My attention was also brought to the insecurities many students face when faced with the challenge of learning a second language. As a teacher it is important to know when to address these insecurities and concerns in order to help the students overcome these troubles.
