Each kind of test presented in this unit has its own purpose but they are all meant to give the teacher and the students information on the student level and his/her individual progress. The teacher need to conduct these test to identify the area that should be more focused on while students are given an overview of their progress that should encourage them to work on certain things and motivate them. Although it could be useful to monitor the class' progress and needs, tests can be time consuming and stressful for students who fear failure.
