The unit was good for recapping why a lesson plan is so important when preparing for a lesson. It can help within the classroom, as a guide to refer to, and also outside of the classroom, as a record of what content has been covered. Lesson planning is important for not only the teacher but also the students as it allows the whole lesson to have clear aims which allow the students the ability to understand and engage with their own progress. Having lesson objectives is vital to aid in this process. The different sections of the lesson only come more into play when lesson planning as the content and the best way to break down the learning becomes more evident.
