This unit covers phonology and pronunciation; it provides general information about stress, intonation, rhythm, and pronunciation, and it also gives tips and ideas for teaching these areas of the English language to students. I (re)learned a lot about phonology and pronunciation that I tend to take for granted as a native speaker of English, such as the patterns of intonation and how the placement of stress in a sentence can affect the meaning/attitude of that sentence. The section with the phonemic symbols and practice exercise was also an excellent refresher; it's definitely good to know these symbols and to teach them to students to aid in their learning.
