It was amazing to really see and sort of feel the difference made by the teacher smiling. I wanted to watch more of the video; I wanted to be in the class more. Seeing how horribly hard it was to hear and understand the teacher in the first video really reinforced the importance of tone and pacing and I was honestly horrified when he just dismissed a student's question because he 'didn't understand'. It's no surprise really that the first lesson goes badly. I found it great practice to watch the video lesson and then try to dissect which section was which phase of the ESA and how the plan had come together. I was also very encouraged by how wide and varied his gestures were when speaking to students.
