The difference in conditionals was well explained in this unit. Understanding how to use conditionals is important because of the many uses conditionals have in the English language, especially in conversations. The teaching ideas were very helpful, especially the method of splitting sentences. The section on reported and direct speech is a challenging topic, especially with regards to converting the tenses of verbs. There can be a variety of ways of reporting speech, but there are generally standards one should follow which this unit highlights. This section feels like the most difficult section to date to communicate to students because of the nuances of changing the verbs based on the original tense.
