When it comes to assessment and evaluation, there are several ways to assess students? language level - tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests. A variety of tests are used in teaching practice: - placement tests (placing new students into the correct class according to their language ability) - progress tests (used periodically in order to determine what language has been remembered/acquired/forgotten) - diagnostic tests (used at the start of the course to determine what the students already know/don?t know) - practice tests (preparation tests for external examination) This Unit has given me a better insight into general external examination/exams as well as Cambridge assessment/tests.
