This unit goes over the potential problems with lessons and different groups of students. it tackles the issues of new students and new classes as well as different ability levels within the same class and how to differentiate and assist with weaker students without the stronger students suffering or getting bored. It introduced some good ways to warm up a class and break the ice and build a rapport with new students. It also looked at the slight differences with new students. Are they a new class and so therefore need to get to know not only the class teacher but also each other? A class like that may need more icebreakers and warmers in order to feel confident and comfortable around each other over time.
