To avoid many issues before they arise, the unit first suggests ways to make the class feel comfortable. Specifically for new classes, the unit suggestions icebreakers such as the pass the ball game or a needs analysis. The unit then suggests 'warmers' which are questions students first answer when coming to class. The unit then discusses how to avoid issues in larger classes and learners of different levels of English proficiency. The unit finishes by suggesting how to get reluctant learners to participate, restricting the use of the native language of the students, and avoiding difficulties with listening texts.
