In this unit, I have studied English grammar and sentence structure. As a creative writing graduate, I already have a strong grasp of these topics but it was pleasant to review them and to test my knowledge. In particular, I enjoyed studying comparatives and superlatives, articles, and verb forms as these are areas which sometimes confuse me. As a native English speaker, I use grammar every day without considering the technicalities of it. This makes it difficult to answer questions from learners of English, because I know what is right or wrong but not the reasons why it is so. This unit has enhanced my understanding, and will be a good point of reference for assisting my students with difficult pieces of grammar.
