The focus of Unit 2 was on Teaching and Learning. The characteristics of teachers and learners are as unique as each individual. There is great freedom and importance to be integral with yourself in your teaching style; otherwise, your teaching effort will be laborious and unsustainable. The advantages and disadvantages of teaching adults as well as teaching them in groups or one-on-one were explored. The fundamental English skills were reviewed in detail--the receptive skills of reading and listening as well as the productive skills of writing and speaking. A review of five teaching methods was provided. It is exciting to think of the effective, creative, interactive learning activities that wait to be designed.
