Unit 5 covered the importance, of gestures, eye-contact, and voice when teaching in a classroom. It also introduced classroom arrangement/management techniques, and my favorite, behavioral issues and ways to reduce them. I particularly enjoyed the classroom management section on behavior because I believe that it is the most challenging part of being a teacher in any country. I also enjoyed reading about ways to react with an unruly student. It goes without saying that one should be remain calm, but as a former student, I have seen teachers completely lose control and it only made the situation worse. I really enjoyed reading about the tips to responding to problem behavior and I'm certain I'll be using them in the future.
