Unit 10 helped give a great example of what not to do and what to do in a classroom. The videos clearly showed errors teachers can make in the first video. It was very evident that the students were not engaged and were intimidated by the teacher. The teacher was unfriendly and made the students feel dumb if they didn't know what he was saying. In the second lesson, the teacher showed enthusiasm and was gracious with the students. He made them feel welcomed to answer, made jokes, and made the material easier to understand. The activities provided for the students were understandable because of the teacher's progression through the lesson. The second video gave a great example of a well-structured and effective lesson plan.
