This unit covered different methodologies and approaches to EFL teaching, highlighting some general advantages and disadvantages about each one, from which I was able to think about methods most useful to me as an EFL teacher to beginners. It also introduces the Engage, Study, Activate methodology and how to apply each stage in the classroom at different levels, with several example activities for each stage. Unfortunately most of the suggestions are too advanced to be used as is with my current students, but they gave me some ideas to work off. Other teaching methods such as correction and feedback and when and how to give them were also covered. From this, I will be able to refine my lesson structure and teaching approach.
