This Unit discussed past tense verbs and their correct forms and uses. They talked about past simple tense, this seems like it would be the easiest for students to learn with the exception of all of the irregular verbs that the English language has. It also discussed the past continuous tense, which is used to discuss past actions that began before that time and possibly continued, they have no time expressed in those sentences. The past perfect tense is used when you have an action completed in the past before the subject action that is being discussed. Finally the past perfect continuous tense is used when an action was ongoing until the past moment being discussed, the important difference here is we do not know if the action continued after. I found this lesson a fantastic reminder of what past tense verbs are called, as a native speaker these just sound correct, but I can see when learning the English language this being a tricky subject. Specifically because of the distinction between the normal and continuous forms, it will be a subject matter that will indeed take time.
