This unit covered the grammar points concerning the Peesent tenses. All in all there are 12 tenses in the English language, and there are 4 present tenses respectively. Present simple tense is used when we want to talk about repetitive actions, habits, routines and facts. Things that don?t relate to any specific point of time. The main focus area here is how to reach students to use the verbs in 3rd person. They often tend to forget about the ?magic S? in the end if the words. Present continuous conversely is attached to the specific time. The coolest way to teach this tense seems to be miming, as they show the action in the moment of speaking, they are performing, others are guessing. So we have have TPR with the amazing grammar practice. I also liked the idea to use graphs and charts, it?s not only teacher students the grammar but also developed a valuable skill of evaluating information they are presented. Present perfect and Present continuous are always a trouble for students, as the concept of intertwining past and present are not common in other languages.
