I thought it was interesting to give the title of the text before presenting it. This was you can activate the student's vocabulary and build up the context before throwing them into the actual reading or listening material. I think these lesson plans would be great ideas for advanced or intermediate learners. They can harness their scanning and skimming skills which tend to be great for aptitude tests students might want to take for work or for applications to overseas programs. I'm very interested at this moment on how to engage very low level learners. I'd love to play a song or a video clip and have a discussion about it but they can barely understand basic questions and phrases in English and most certainly can't answer me.
