This unit clearly defined the role of the teacher in relation to their student outlining what qualities equate to a professional teacher putting their students learning and experience above all else. I learnt the importance of my role a teacher to create a dynamic and interactive class environment with a balance between the roles for example not over doing the management portion creating a class without student engagement. I also took a greater understanding of the students varied learning styles in relation to their age and life experience, which will be a great help in developing appropriate lesson plans. The information regarding the European framework is particularly useful as I will be teaching children in Slovenia as of next year.
