It was very helpful to see the two lesson video examples. The first made me feel so uncomfortable and stressed - it was a great example of what not to do! The second video really helped me to see the value of a good rapport, use of gestures, explaining using examples, giving much more time for the learners to speak and contribute, and speaking clearly and slowly to avoid confusion and intimidation. Personally, I am still finding it difficult to fully understand the ESA structure in action. I thought I did, then I did so badly on the lesson planning test! I am mixing up the phases - how they are carried out and their focus. I have relooked at the lesson planning video and study materials, so I am hoping I have a clearer understanding now.
