This unit provides a comprehensive overview of the functions and basic principles of lesson planning for English language teachers. It provides what a good teacher should include and avoid in order to conduct the class to the best of his/her ability (teaching aids, procedure, phase - engage, study or activate, timing, interaction - teacher to student, student to teacher or student to student, class level, number of students, etc). It also includes a model of a complete lesson plan and 2 model lesson materials to make a lesson plan from. The video was a good addition as it pointed out to some things not included in the pdf, such as the teacher demo before the study activities, monitoring the students, feedback and different forms of correction.
