Unit 19 focused on teaching special groups such as beginners, individual students, children, and business English or English for specific purposes. This chapter was very helpful by discussing these various types of classes, their pros and cons, and what teachers can do to prepare for each. I am hoping to tutor students in business English due to my background in business and prior to this chapter I was not aware of needs analysis and just how different it is between teaching English and teaching English for specific purposes. Business English must be even more catered to the students than a general English class due to the students? having more requirements of what needs to be discussed in class so they could apply it to their everyday lives.
