This unit was about the necessary characteristics that one should have in order to be a good teacher, as well as the characteristics needed to be a good learner. The unit also covered the different stages of language proficiency, the different roles that a good teacher should be able to perform, and the differences between old learners and younger learners as well as the advantages and disadvantages that come with each age group. The information that I think was most helpful to me was the section on the different stages of language learning. I didn't expect the stages to be broken down as thouroughly as they were. This made me realize that there are many different stages of language learners and that each group should be approached in different ways.
