This was a very useful exercise and the examples and templates of suggested exercises were very good. The filled in lesson plan provides you with an excellent basis to base all lesson plans around. I will certainly use this in my planning. It is interesting to note that everything needs to be clear and precise and brief. Otherwise you might as well be reading a script and not engaging with your students. I well remember a history teacher I had at secondary school who used to read from notes verbatim that had been compiled 20 years previously. He was a well liked teacher so nobody dare question the validity of his teaching. However another history teacher provided us with up to date notes and we all passed our O.level without that we would have failed.
