I learned about modal auxiliary verbs, the passive voice, phrasal verbs and relative clause. A number of morals were mentioned and I learned that modals are used before other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. They express the following ideas:- obligation, possibility/probability, permission/prohibition, ability, and advice. Modal auxiliary verbs can be used to express different degrees of formality and they have similar meanings, are used in different situations. Modal verbs on the other side are don't change in form according to person, and are followed by a base form in both present and future meaning. Teaching ideas such as role-play,rules, and signs were discussed. It was also important to learn about passive an active voice, that in the passive the object of an active verb becomes the subject of the passive voice. Both sentences have the same meaning but the focus is different. I also learned about phrasal verbs 3 types, 1 is Intransitive, 2 transitive separable, and 3 transitive inseparable. Phrasal verbs are also called multi-word verbs and consist of a verb plus one or two particles. Ladtly, I learned aboutrelative clauses, that a clause is group of words containing a subject and a verb. Three categories of a clause were briefly discussed, that is, independent, dependent and relative. Examples of relative pronouns were discussed.
