This unit on got me thinking about some ways to teach in real life situations. Most of my work as an ALT in Japan relies on vocabulary teaching and basic sentence structures. While some methods that are used in ESL in Japan have been around for a while there is more that can be done in order to make them interesting. I think taking some knowledge from this unit and experimenting and challenging my students is something that can be beneficial for all of us in the classroom. I know students may not enjoy the actual learning portion of English and I am aware that some of that falls on me so I should take steps to make it better.
