I have learnt the different approaches to being a teacher and the types of learners that I will encounter. It is important to be aware of foreign learners expectations and behaviour, this also includes the age factor. Adult learners are more likely to attend because they wanted to whilst youth learners are attending because they have to. It is important to be kind and patient with learners as a teacher as this demonstrates respect and an attempt to understand the learner whist teaching them to your best of your ability. This unit is very insightful, helpful and eyeopening to the needs of learners and expectations of teachers.
