unit 16 covers the proper use of conditionals and reported speech. conditionals are sentences containing ?if/when? that has to be satisfied before the action can be realized. in here, 5 main conditionals are clearly explained (zero, first, second, third and mixed), as well as each form structure and usage. several teaching ideas are also provided.
reported and direct speech can be confusing for students, and a chart of how form changes from direct to reported speech is very useful.In this unit, I learned some tips concerning how to teach vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. Nothing surprised me in this lesson, though there were some good tips. I was reminded of the flexibility of the ESA system, and also how different teachers can use different methods and approaches to teach the same content. Teaching English seems to have an artistic aspect to it, or at least a creative aspect to it. The teacher has great freedom to choose methods and organize lessons.
