General overview of various methods for teaching was covered by the lesson. The most emphasis was given to ESA (Engage Study Activate) method. There are different ways to use ESA method. There were many example activities for each sections of ESA methods. The lesson also talked about correcting a student properly. ESA seems to encourages teachers to be facilitators rather than lecturers which I agree with in learning a new language. For many of the students, the class time is the only time they will practice speaking English. I also like the section of correction. I thought prompting and allowing students to self correct their mistakes was a good suggestion.
