Lessons up to this point have been focused on teaching more productive skills. Separating out receptive skills and how to teach them is very helpful. Of course, the ability to do both is key to fully grasping a language. But some students tend to excel at one over the other so a mixture of classes that do both are key to help those who are weaker and to encourage those who are stronger. The example lessons and exercises help make the lesson points very clear. I also appreciated the suggestion of only teaching \"key\" vocabulary and allowing the students to try to grasp the meaning of a couple of other unknown words from the surrounding context.
