As with the Present Tenses section, this Past Tenses section provided a quality refresher of the usage definitions for each of the four past tenses. As native speakers, because we don't need to think about which tense to use and are often not consciously aware of the specific tense we are using, it is helpful to be given tense definitions for those times when we DO need to be conscious of them, such as when teaching.
