This unit teaches, as I view it, some of the most neglected aspects of the english language. Pronunciation. Intonation, stress, and the phonemic alphabet are all important keys in learning and teaching english. One key part of this unit I found most interesting was sound joining and linked speech. We are taught proper english and yet we still simplify our speech by linking, sound dropping/changing, and extra lettering. I enjoy the fact that we recognize that we do this and incorporate this into out learning and teaching.
