Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

The unit discusses the process to design a course that will help the students learn well their target language and the teacher to support their teaching. In order to design the course, contacting with the clients or students for the first time is very pivotal. Because being acquainted with them will give the teacher the opportunity to observe, communicate with them and of course know firsthand their existing knowledge and what they still need to know. After the first meeting, comes the level testing. Level testing is done by giving any graded General English level test rather than any specific business knowledge. The result of these different level testing will illustrate the varied levels of each student from each other. However, we need to be aware that different testing systems use different level descriptors. Knowing their levels, needs analysis will be applied. In this process it will mirror the:a. the students’ previous learning experiencesb. what they use English for in their jobc. what they feel would be the most beneficial areas for them to studyWhen done with the level testing and needs analysis, it is the best time to do the groupings. As the teacher group the students, the syllabus to be designed should accommodate the needs of the group. And that additional homework should be given to students who need different from the others. There are different types of language syllabi to be executed. However, two or more types are usually integrated and infrequently independent from each other.6 TYPES OF SYLLABI1. structural (formal) syllabus2. notional/functional syllabus3. situational syllabus4. skill-based syllabus5. task-based syllabus6. content-based-syllabusAt the end of the course, comes the evaluation. This end part is very essential because it will transpire how far did the students learned, the effectiveness of the program and if there’s a need of adjustment of the course.business english students are also keen in obtaining a formal certification as an additional credential to their profession. Therefore, they take Business English examinations. Here are some of the business examinations:a. Cambridge certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIBT)b. Spoken English for Industry and Commercec. London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations (LCCI)After done with the evaluation, course evaluation must be done. Why?a. Because it will evaluate the course, teaching styles and materials as a whole wherein it will show its strengths and solutions for its weaknesses.b. Permit the students to give feedback which are useful to the course.c. It will be the basis of an objective report to be submitted to the employer.
