I found these video lessons very helpful. I noticed some of the mistakes that the teacher made with the first lesson and how confusing and difficult a lesson like that can be. The students seemed unsure and when they tried answering, they were shot down. There were a lot of times where the teacher seemed confused and uninterested. Lesson 2 was much better in this regard and the teacher's attitude was friendly and open. From the start the students were engaged and the teacher spoke clearly and slower. He started with a game and one phase of the lesson led into the next without so much uncertainty. The teacher asked more questions and students responded with a lot of examples. He gave a clear example of his own animal to show students what they should do. I felt that they better understood at the end of the lesson. These videos once again show the importance of the teacher's attitude in the classroom. How he/she treats students and his/her overall attitude towards the lesson, can determine how students feel and how much they learn.
