This unit provides a thorough analysis of different types of equipment that can be used as teaching aids in the classroom. These include (but are not limited to) blackboard, overhead projector, DVD/videos, cassette recorder, computers and online resources.The unit provides details on how each can be used n the classroom to keep students engaged and improve the overall learning experience. It also includes examples related to the limitations of each of these teaching aids and what they should not be used for.I think that the extensive list of resources provided in this unit related to teaching aids (online) will be a valuable resource to rely upon when teaching. Completing this unit has made me realize that there are many tools available that should be leveraged to improve the learning experience, especially for new teachers who may not have developed intuitive ability to know what best works in the classroom.
