The unit included helpful content with respect to some of the different challenges students face in speaking and writing the English language. In addition, several activities and games were suggested in order to increase both fluency and accuracy in speaking. One important thing I learned was when it is appropriate to concentrate on accuracy, and when it is appropriate to allow the students some more freedom as they experiment with fluency.In my opinion, this unit serves as a useful refresher course for native English teachers because too often, using the modals, relative clauses and the passive voice already comes naturally that we already don't feel the need to go over the rules one by one anymore. But in some circumstances, we really need to explain the rules regarding the proper usage to students who feel that a more thorough analysis is very helpful in their English study.
