This unit explained the basic English grammatical components and their different types. It started with the essential components such as nouns, definite and indefinite articles and adjectives that describe them. Then it followed up with verbs in its four main forms and listed the most common verbs that do not follow these forms. It also detailed the use of adverbs and where to place them in a sentence and Gerunds and how they compare to verbs. Lastly, the unit listed the different pronouns (personal, possessive, reflective and relative) and the general categories of prepositions, conjunctions and how to use them in sentences.
