This unit portrays the disadvantages and advantages of course books and the importance of materials used for the class, such as authentic materials or created materials, as these depict whether the students are capable to understand, gain confidence, motivate and interest them. The unit displays different types of materialized activities such as tree crossword, word search puzzles, role play cards, flash cards, Gap fill and picture story to help gain the attention of the students and to motivate the students to study and understand in class. This unit has also taught me how to choose the best course book also options on how to use the course book (omit, replace, supplement and adapt) to effectively teach the class.
