This unit was rather confusing to me, but I got it over a bit of time. It was all about pronunciation, how and where we put stress into our sentences, and how english sounds different than it's written. We have a tendency to blur words together, leave out or add in letters, and generally make a jumbled mess out of our own language. So this unit was about how to explain why and how we do that to students so that they'll be not only fluent themselves, but also able to understand spoken English and speak in the same way.
